Guidelines for Effective Email Marketing

-Point out the similarities of the sites.
-Communicate by letting him know how he stands to benefit by exchanging links with us.
-Keep the mail short, compact and up to the point  ( webmaster receives more than hundreds of mail everyday and most of it is Spam)
-Try to keep your mail interesting with subject line enticing enough to prompt him to open the mail.
-Be focused and polite.
-Nothing works better than a good sense of humor (try to have some of it in your mails.)
-Study the web site, which you are targeting. Find out the motive for the webmasters to run the site. Some have a web site for passion; many have it as a commercial interest, unravel the psychology of the webmaster and try to communicate at their mental level.
- Accept rejections. 80% of the owners won’t reply, 5% of the remaining will decline and the rest 15% is the actual market to tap.
